We are a two site small animal practice in South Lakes, first established in the early 20th century. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.
Amanda has been with the practice for over 30 years and knows it inside out. She works hard to keep the practice running as smoothly and efficiently as possible from an administration point of view. When not at work Amanda enjoys getting out on the fells with her mischievous Collie and has a number of rescue cats which demand lots of attention. She also pet-sits in the local area, especially for pets who may need medications giving.
Anne helps with the large number of insurance claims we get and is also our in-house mathematician as she does our banking. She is very handy with a camera and is responsible for the photos on our website. She also enjoys getting out walking in this beautiful corner of the world.
Lauren is one of our lovely receptionists over at our Barrow branch and has been with us since May 2018. She previously worked at Pets at Home for seven years so has plenty of experience with different animals. Lauren loves working with animals and spends a lot of time caring for her own pets outside of work. She has horses and also a dog called Buster who is a Shih Tzu cross Yorkie who Lauren describes as a little horror!
Linda is our afternoon receptionist in Ulverston. She is always ready with a beaming smile to greet our clients and their pets and loves making a fuss of the animals. Linda works hard to ensure our clients receive the best service from the moment they come into the practice, making sure that clients are completely happy before they leave. Linda has a Collie called Poppy who keeps her busy.
Abi is one of our receptionists over at our Barrow branch. She has worked at Church Walk Vets since 2015 and really enjoys getting to know the clients and especially the patients. Abi has two dogs named Bracken and Lucky who love to go out on walks and are real mucky pups! Her current goal that she would like to achieve is becoming a veterinary nurse.
Carol is our morning receptionist in Ulverston. Always ready with a warm welcome and friendly advice, she works very hard to co-ordinate our Healthy Pet Club for our Ulverston clients. Carol loves to meet clients and their pets and is always ready with a fuss for pets that look worried. She is a keen runner and enjoys getting out and about with her lovely Collie, Flossy.
Lesley is our wonderful cleaner. Vets are well known for leaving a trail of destruction in their wake and Lesley works hard every morning to ensure the Ulverston practice is looking top-notch before our clients come in. Lesley is kept busy by her exceptionally cute little Terrier cross Lola who could chase her ball around the park all day if she could.
